Hatter Street Waffle

Went to this cafe at Hougang - Hatter Street ... I think there's quite a number of similar cafes along the area... Udders, Lickers etc ... Went Lickers initially but the queue was too scary ... 


Anyway, back tto Hatter Street, the waffle is delicious, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. 
We ordered Lavender white chocolate and pandan flavored ice cream. 
The lavender white chocolate is a miss, taste kindda weird, we don't like it.  The pandan flavor is nice though, guess we should just stick to traditionally at times.

Tomato Egg

Another simple dish for a fuss free dinner. 
Match perfectly with a bowl of steam rice. 

What you need: 

3 eggs
2 tomato 
2 Tablespoon of water 

Steps: 

- cook the egg scrambled style
- add in tomato and water 
- serve when tomato soften

Vegetarian Pumpkin Rice

One pot dish for quick and simple dinner. 

Prepare: 
250gm Pumpkin 
3 cups of rice 
Chinese Mushrooms or shitake mushroom (keep the water used to soak the chinese mushroom)
Assorted veggies of your preference (eg. xiao bai cai)

Seasonings: 
3 tablespoon of dark soy sauce
2 tablespoon of light soy sauce 
1 tablespoon of vegetarian oyster sauce 

Steps: 
Pour everything in the rice cooker, stir evenly, pour in the water used to soak mushroom, make sure it just cover the rice. 
Turn on the rice as what you would do to cook rice. 

Done.

Vegetarian Yee Fu noodle

 



I like this brand for Yee Fu noodle. 

What do you need: 
One pc of Yee Fu noodle 
1 tablespoon of oil 
Assorted mushrooms 
Beansprout 

Sauce: 
One bowl of water 
1 teaspoon dark soya sauce 
1/2 tablespoon light soya sauce 
1 teaspoon sesame oil 

Directions: 
- Heat up the wok 
- Put in oil 
- Put in mushroom, stirred fried for 3 min 
- Pour in sauce 
- Add noodle 
- Braised for 10 min
- Add beansprout, cook for a few min 
 
Done.

Frozen Prata

 


Bought the frozen prata from Giant, pop some into the oven, 
200 degree Celsius,  for 15 min or 180 degree Celsius in the air fryer or 10 min. 
Lunch settled =)

Vegetarian Japanese Curry

 



This is delicious and so easy to cook, you can whip it up in 30 min. 

Recipe 

What you will need: 
Japanese Curry Mix as pic above 
6 potato (cut into small pieces)
2 carrots (cut into small pieces)

Directions: 
- Boil 1.2 liter of water in a pot 
- When water is boiling, add potato and carrot 
- Boil for 20 min or until vegetable is soft 
- Turn off fire, add Japanese Curry Mix

Vegetable Ball Set from Ikea

 


Tried the vegetable ball set from Ikea, not bad, comes with potato curry and broccoli as sides.

Egg Mayo Sandwich


 A delicious fix for a quick lunch. 

What you will need: 
2 slices of white bread 
Margarine
One egg 
One tablespoon of mayonnaise (I use kewpie brand) 

Steps: 
- Boil egg for 10 min 
- Spread margarine onto bread 
- Mash egg and mix in one tablespoon of mayonnaise   

Enjoy!
